My craps story...
Without getting into the complicated rules of craps, let me just say that one person gets to roll the dice until he or she "craps out". This is done when a 7 is rolled after the point number has come out.
On my very first time at a craps table, I was nervous to roll the dice. I worried that I might throw too hard and fling the dice off the table (ahem) or that I might knock over some chip stacks. The very first roll was a 7. Everyone wins. 2nd roll... 7! 3rd roll... 7! 4th roll... 11, everyone still wins! 5th roll... 7! 6th roll... 3. Now, that means that everyone loses their initial bet. At this point, I have yet to roll a come out point.
The dice were pushed back to me, but I wasn't sure if I was supposed to roll again because everyone just lost. I look at Jason, and he looks at me. Then, he grabs the dice and flings them down the table. It was brief, but there's a puzzled look on the dealer's face. The dice were pushed back to me again. Thinking it's his turn, Jason grabs the dice again and tosses them. Again, the puzzled look on the dealer's face. This time, he pushes the dice to Jason. He keeps on rolling until her craps out.
Later, it occurred to me that I never crapped out. Jason had taken my turn. We went over this again and again, and we confirmed that Jason stole my dice. No worries, he still won me some money. Jason has a better story, and I hope he posts it here.

Casino 5824 was in FULL effect last night. With 10 people at the casino, people had to wait for spots to open at our 8-person table. We may have to get another table started at the Casino. The moral of last night was: Don't trust any pockets. Last night, we saw pocket kings, queens, jacks and more go down. Holding a pair in your hand is way overrated. Cal, or as I like to call him now, Moneyball, pulled straight after straight to score some pretty crazy wins.
This afternoon, we've had all 3 TVs tuned into the college basketball conference tournaments. Basketball has been occupying all of the screens for most of the day. It's been great. What will be better is seeing college basketball on giant screens and having a little bit of money riding on them. The madness...

The Annual 5824 March Madness looks to be shaping up. We're pretty excited about the whole thing. Cal wants to play poker. Suave and I might get a small card-counting team together. Oh, and there's gonna be 32 games of basketball in 2 days. You can't beat that. Buzzer-beaters, Cinderellas, and the stress of picking which No. 12 is gonna beat a No. 5. Oh yes.

Oh how sad.
The 5824 blog has been neglected and left all alone.
Just like the drip tray for the Foreman grill.
Perhaps we need guest bloggers again.
