there are definitely two philosophies at our poker tables. cal adopts the philosophy of always getting to the river. my philosophy is to win the pot when you have the best hand (stop people from increasing their chances at the river). we've seen both be successful, so the many hands of research we've done have not given us any firm conclusions. things that we have learned:

pockets are overrated
cal will, at any time, play any hand
people will sweat over a $2 bet
the seat directly left of the recliner is bad luck(we orginally thought it was the seat directly left of jason, but it turns out that it's the recliner, not jason)

in other news, we're thinking of having a bbq on sunday (day before memorial day). would people be interested, or are there other bbqs out there that we haven't been invited to? i can offer beer-can chicken.

poker is much more exciting to watch than nba playoffs. sorry bob.
