we're off to vegas for a couple days. hopefully, i'll get on a good streak on craps and try to bring home some money. i just checked the weather, and it's gonna be in triple digits the whole time we're there. casinos better be air-conditioned.

i don't know if you've heard the news, but mary-kate olsen has been diagnosed for anorexia. maybe she got jealous of her sister's blonde hair and caved in to the pressure. i'm sure when the decision was made that one of them had to dye their hair, it was the loser that had to go brown. maybe she saw some 'full house' re-runs on abc family and thought she didn't look good.

how is it that both are stick-thin and only one of them gets diagnosed? in other words, while mary-kate is refusing to eat, what is ashley doing that is keeping her just as bony as her sister's? bulemia? jogging 30 minutes a day to burn off the calories from the stick of celery and soy milk?

cal and i saw dodgeball. yes, we were inspired to play. instead of basketball at the church gym, maybe we'll play dodgeball. i might need to get kneepads, though. and a cup.

5824 is having some difficulties in the computer department. cal's computer might have died on us. he's still looking for ways to fix it. if any computer-savvy want to come over and help us out, that'd be nice. cal's initial prognosis is that he burned out the cpu.

vegas in two days....

I leave for one week, and there's a coup de tat on the house blog?! Not only has Cal changed the colors, but he has actually taken over as the administrator of the blog. In other words, this post can be edited and censored. He has absolute power over CSI:Richmond (a.k.a. 5824 Club).

I am forming a plan to regain my hold of the blog. Without dislcosing too much, just know that Reno 911 might not be on the air at its normally scheduled time.

This blog is now under new management. While Danny is away, I have seized power and taken over.

In the movie version, I would succeed for a while, but Danny would eventually regain control and have me cornered. I would fake surrender, attempt one desperate attack, and get myself killed in the process. Let's hope the bad guy wins just this once.

My first act as blog dictator: I will block out the sun.

Something strange is going on here. Our power keeps getting disrupted.

It went out early in the morning, so my alarm clock did the blinking 12:00 thing and never buzzed. Luckily, all I missed was attending a graduation for some kids. (Actually, I still could have made it, but decided not to rush myself. I was later told the graduation was very boring.)

Then it just blinked out again about 9:30pm. This really sucked because I was watching Last Comic Standing (32") and Baseball Tonight (20"), and I was worried that power would not be restored in time for me to watch the Season 2 premier of Reno 911. Luck prevailed once again, as power came back on 2 minutes later, or about the amount of time I spent tripping over boxes in the dark to find a flashlight.
