Food challenges are getting out of hand. It was fun when we used to give the $2 for a donut and a can of Pepsi (or Coke)in 90 seconds, or when we paid Basil to eat half a sheet of cake. But nobody has ever been paid the largest prize 5824 offered, a cool $50, for drinking a gallon of milk in an hour, without to the bathroom or throwing up. the closest someone came was a kid named Tim who only had 4 oz and 2 minutes left to go before he hurled all over our driveway.

I don't why people think they can do this. Check out the story about the Florida Marlins' batboy who tried it. He was offered $500. I also saw someone offer $1000 on one of those tattoo parlor reality shows on Bravo or TLC, and the guy chugged the whole gallon in about 8 minutes. He did not make it to the end of the hour.

So as a public service announcement, when someone dares you to do the gallon of milk in an hour challenge, don't do it!

(5824 will still offer a $50 cash prize to anyone successfully completing this feat. Milk must be at least 1% and will be privded by 5824. A one day advance notice is required. Participants will be asked to refrain from throwing up inside the house. Friends and family members of 5824 residents are eligible. In fact, 5824 residents are eligible. Prizes will be paid in 26 annual installments. Beer may not be subsituted for milk.)

Here's a craiglist posting on the blog for everyone:

San Francisco Bay Area > East Bay > Richmond

Free set of frying pans. They are on the chair next to the 5824 barbeque grills. In like-new condition, barely used. First come, first served.

I was cooking today and I burned a frying pan. Not a typo. The pan I had been using was all worn out and getting gross, so I was going to get a new set of pans to use, but I left them at my parent's house in San Francisco. So to get me through the next couple of days, I got some cheap set of pans from Big Lots.

The first time I tried cooking with them, the pans started burning. The bottom is all charred up, and the spray paint or whatever fake non-stick coating they used on it started smoking up pretty bad. And it stunk up the kitchen.

I guess it's going to be Taco Bell for dinner the next few days.

After a battle against the fog and Tilden Park Golf Course, Danny came out victorious by the slimmest of margins, 100-101, and retained control of the 5824 Golf Cup. I had a chance on the 18th green to make a putt from about 12 or 14 feet for the outright win, but I wasn't clutch today. I may file a protest because Danny admitted he does not count his OB penalty strokes.

Next up on Fox Sports 5824, the Park Blvd Indoor Garage Door Darts Championship!

I am the current 5824 bowling champion.

Jason and I went to Albany Bowl today for the $1 games. I beat him in the first game, 133-129. I dominated him in the second game 165-126. I couldn't complete the sweep, as Jason won the third round 136-124. We then had the lefty challenge (we're both right-handed bowlers), where I used a 14 pound ball on my way to a 85-66 victory.

The 5824 golf trophy will be on the line on Monday, as I will attempt to take down Danny.
